Mary (Ship) logbook, 1802-1805.

The logbook of the ship Mary details shipping voyages from Salem, Mass., to Le Havre and Amsterdam, Calcutta, Mauritius, and Aden, Mar. 1802-July 1805. The ship's home port was Salem; the owners were John Norris and Benjamin Goodhue; the master was Samuel King. The logbook includes an example of fires and fire prevention on the ship in describing a fire, and the maintenance and repair of a ship's leak.
